Russian cbank’s risk scenario eyes 2016 oil at $25, baseline at $35

MOSCOW, Feb 12 (PRIME) -- Russia’s central bank has worsened its forecast of an average annual oil price in 2016 to U.S. $25 per barrel from $35 under the risk scenario and to $35 from $50 under the baseline scenario, First Deputy Chairman Dmitry Tulin told reporters Friday.

“The risk scenario sees an average annual (oil price) at $25 per barrel in 2016, and at $35 for the next two years, in 2017–2018. The baseline (scenario) sees an average annual (price) at $35 in 2016 and then at $45 (in 2017–2018),” he said.

In mid-January, the regulator said it sees no need in revision of its risk scenario that encompassed an oil price of $35 per barrel in 2016.
